If you are inspired and inclined to do your own Feng Shui consultation, consider taking one or all of my Feng Shui Workshops. Each one is uniquely designed to go to the depths of different life aspects. Learn more.
What to Expect When I Visit
For Existing Spaces
Upon my arrival we sit and discuss your expectations and goals for the consultation – this usually takes about 30 minutes. Thereafter, I begin my site analysis; this can take up to 1 hour. During this time, I like to be alone and without distractions. I also ask that I have access to all areas including outside areas.
An accurate assessment of your space is comprised of measurements, calculations, reading energy patterns and influences and determining corrections.
This process involves the following review on my part:
- Reading the location and impact of existing external environmental objects using a Lo Pan
- Vegetation and land formations
- Location of water features – ocean, lake, pool
- Shape and location of streets, neighbors and other influences
- Compass degree of the facing, entrance and personal sitting locations
- Review of space allocation and function
- All architectural expressions, furniture arrangement, sha chi, etc.
- Colors and other décor schemes
- Use of electronics and other active objects
- Personal Feng Shui directions and relationship to space
- Predecessor history (provided to me by you)
Upon completion, we reconvene to discuss your site’s strengths, weaknesses and corrections to create a healthy circulation of Chi (energy) throughout your space and to activate areas that correspond to your goals.
Since recommendations vary from property to property, here is an idea of what my suggestions might include:
- Installing an interior water feature, improve lighting, adding remedies and other decorative items
- Rearranging furniture – couch, desk, bed, table, TV, computer, stereo, bookshelf, pictures, etc.
- Moving or adding plants, clocks, sculptures and artwork
- Repainting a room or door, modifying a rooms decoration or changing a mirror
- Extensive use of colors, the Five Elements Theory, shapes, artwork and symbols
- Removing or deflecting sha or stagnant chi
- Installing vegetation, adding a fountain or other garden ornaments
Depending on the scope of the project, the Feng Shui consultation can take between 3 – 5 hours, sometimes longer. Therefore, please set this time aside with no distractions to get the full benefit from our time together.
Feng Shui is likened to a branch of Chinese Medicine. The practice and implementation of skillfully determined transformations and remedies can make a profound difference in the lives of individuals, families and businesses.

Follow Up Consultations
From time to time residential and business clients request a follow-up consultation after the initial recommendations are applied.
Other reasons for a follow-up include:
- Annual Update (highly recommended prior to Chinese New Year, February 4th, each year)
- Updating the landscape garden design
- Creating a new pathway around the home, office or garden
- Redecorating or rearranging a room or office
- Conducting renovations or remodeling, or adding extensions
- Be sure to consider an Auspicious Date (Michele – link to Date Selection) before beginning your renovation project
- Changing the layout or function (space allocation) of a room within your space
Depending on your specific needs, allow between 1 – 3 hours. The fee is hourly and your previous Level of Service may determine if this will be an on-site or telephone consultation.
Feel free to contact me at any time four – eight weeks after your initial consultation or before February 4th the following year to arrange our next appointment.
Travel Considerations
Local Consultations
In you are in the South Florida area, an on-site visit can easily be conducted. On-site consultations include 2 hours of travel time (round trip). Additional travel time is at a nominal rate.
Domestic and International Consultations
Distance is not an obstacle for me. Travel is easier today than ever.
For those interested in a personal site visit by me – highly recommended for community planning, new building construction and large corporations – I am readily available for worldwide travel projects. Know that, in addition to scheduled visits, written reports and follow-ups, further communication can successfully be accomplished via phone, fax, email and mail.
Workshops
From time to time I am traveling to conduct Workshops. Since a Workshop may be in your area (or you may wish to organize one), there’s never been a better time to schedule your appointment.
